The painting above was completed very quickly using acrylic paint and a small palette knife. I wanted to capture the colours and vitality of our emerging garden. I painted this last spring and the photo below was taken on the first day of spring this year. Sadly we lost the lavender bush that's in the background of this painting during a heatwave earlier this year. The weeds have survived well though :-)

I made my first batch of preserved lemon
I'm looking forward to cooking with them
